What are Dental Appliances?

There is more to maintaining optimal oral health than just having a good brushing and flossing routine.

For people that play sports, or clench or grind their teeth dental appliances can help maintain and protect their oral structures, and the health of their entire bodies.

The dental appliances we offer at Arenson Dental & Associates – such as sports guards and night guards– are used to help protect the health of your oral cavity.

Custom-Fitted Mouth Guards

Our dentistry team offers custom-made mouth guards that fit over your teeth to help protect them from damage.

Sports Guards

Do you participate in any high-impact sports? If so we highly recommend investing in a custom-made mouthguard so it can protect your teeth and gums in the event you get hit or take a blow to the face.

Custom-made sports guards protect your oral health by acting as a barrier between your teeth and the soft tissues of your mouth.

Since the sports guards, we offer at Arenson Dental & Associates are custom made to precisely fit your teeth they help better protect your smile.

Night Guards

If you grind your teeth while you sleep, a mouth guard can help keep your teeth from getting damaged. A mouth guard could also help prevent clenching, and offer some pain relief.

Mouth guards can be made from either a soft or rigid material, based on the severity of your teeth grinding and jaw clenching. Both work by placing a barrier between the teeth to lessen the effect of grinding and clenching.

You may require a mouth guard if you experience a headache, have a sore jaw, have general pain in the face, or feel tired from a lack of sleep when you wake up.
