Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

The technology we use at our Richmond Hill dental office helps inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run as smoothly as possible.

Since we are able to display digital scans and X-rays on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any problems in your mouth and explain your treatment plan to you.

Our goal is to provide our patients with the dental care they require while ensuring they are fully informed about their dental health. Dental technology helps us accomplish this.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays utilize digital sensors rather than traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce extremely detailed computer images of the gums, teeth, and other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that can't be seen with the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays let your dentist capture a single image of your whole mouth. This is a flat representation image of the teeth, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), lower and upper jaws, and nasal and sinus structures. Generally, panoramic X-rays are utilized to help plan treatments for implants, extraction, braces, and dentures.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners take digital dental impressions, which can be a preferable alternative to traditional dental impressions that could be time-consuming and messy. For this, your dentist uses an optical scanning wand to capture a digital image of your teeth, in minutes. This device helps your dentist obtain accurate data that can be used to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
